Piazzale Roma is the main arrival point in Venice for buses from the airports of Marco Polo (Venice) and Treviso, cars & taxis.
From Piazzale Roma it is about a ten-minute walk to Calle de la Madona. Alternatively it is possible take a vaporetto (water bus) to Santa Marta from where it is a short walk to the apartment.
Calle de la Madona is named after the church Santa Maria Maggiore directly across the canal. It is a quite residential neighbourhood, close to the school of architecture inhabited mostly by Venetians though it is becoming popular as a quiet area off the beaten track away from the hustle and bustle of tourist Venice.
